Hello Tweeters,
Today Linda Wakeman from Seattle and i made the trip to Fort Canby State
Park to find the Mountain Plover again.As we was greeted by two birders what
already combed the beach for two hours with no result.It was than 10.00 Am
kidding me that i would find the bird since i already been seeing it on the
25th where i took some of the best photos due to the bird beeig so tame.We
all searched the beaches way beyond the places the bird was seeing
before.There was so many birders ,proable the most of all other days,and all
searched intense.By 2.30PmLinda and i quitt seeing no way we would find this
bird.So i have my memory and looking at this photos now what always remind
me of this verry cute little bird.This bird riminded me so much of the
Eurasian Dotterel photographing it from the front.
We was diving over to Chinook Vally Rd and realy got rewarded with not only
good looks of the White-tailed Kites but all 3 birds was sitting close
together with one hoovering in the fields.So the trip was not all lost,also
beeing in good company and happy to running in to some well knowing birders
was also a treat.
The Mountain Plover was last seeing on Wednesday evening at 4.15 Pm if no
one will find it again.
