Hi, Tweets

I just want to thank Deborah Wisti-Peterson for giving us the contact
address --- <http://takeaction.worldwildlife.org> --- for the Conservation
Action Network sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund. What a neat site. It
allows those of us too busy to write a bunch of letters about various
conservation issues to electronically make a few clicks and have a letter
with our name, etc., included in the responses. Her example was the
fenthion issue which is, indeed, killing thousands of birds, including
vultures, in the southeast and along the east coast. I have no idea if this
pesticide is used in the Northwest, but I hope not. What really made me
look again at this site was that there was also a place to send a letter in
regard to the Arctic National Wilderness Area which will be, after January
21st, somewhat vulnerable, considering all things. LOTS of "our" birds go
there.

Thanks again, Deborah.

Cheers, Diann
