Today Dec 31st, we attended the Two Rivers CBC,
which is mostly in Walla Walla county,
(but our Gray Partridge were in Umatilla Co).
The count total was 95! Blowing away the old record of 88.

The highlight was the LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL which was seen
by about 20 people, including us!, at the Walla Walla river delta.
MerryLynn & Mike Denny found it on the 29th.
(Mike did say they plan to be at the delta Jan 1st at about 3:30 pm.
So if you want a good chance of seeing this bird, BE There!)
I think all the big gulls were seen, including Glaucous.
We found a Thayers.

Huge numbers of birds were seen. 15,000 Pintail, over 50,000 Mallards.
Over 500 Song Sparrows, (we saw 28 at one time!), 3 Harris' Sparrow,
2 Lincoln's Sp, + White-throated, Golden-cr. 85 Dunlin, 2 Pipit.
4 species of Blackbirds plus Cowbirds. (Rusty, Yellow-headed, BB, RW)
You should have been there!
