Hello Tweets:

This is an informational email for those of you who want more
information about Cats Indoors.

Seattle Audubon will launch its Cats Indoors Campaign next month to
inform cat owners and bird lovers about the benefits, to both cats and
birds, of keeping cats indoors. The campaign is a collaborative effort
between Seattle Audubon, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife,
local vets, and local animal welfare organizations. The campaign will
focus on educating the public and dispelling "myths" about housecats
(e.g. bells do not work, well-fed cats still kill birds, cats do not
control rat populations, indoor cats lead longer, healthier lives, etc).

If you would like more information about Cats Indoors, or would like to
volunteer with the Cats Indoors Campaign, call or email Helen Ross:

There is a wonderful website about this subject prepared by the
American Bird Conservatory. Please go there for information:
<http://www.abcbirds.org/catindoo.htm> They have a
wonderful array of cat-bird subjects to look through.

Cheers, Diann
