Shall I start mentioning plants? Bald Eagles in the Pacific
Northwest may be in satisfactory shape, but his notion that
if it's not going extinct it doesn't count is why we are
living inside one of the greatest mass extinction in the
history of the planet. It all starts with local extirpation
and if one chooses to argue that this is not the biggest mass
extinction it is certainly noteworthy for the absence
of a big comet.
