On Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000 seven of us braved the rain and wind to look for
birds. Audubon field trip leader, Darryl Thompson started us out in Kenmore
standing under a bridge (keeping dry) checking out the slough. There were
quite a few things here including domestic Muscovy Ducks. We then went to
Logboom Park but the weather was so bad we moved on to lunch then Edmonds.
By the time we got to Edmonds the weather had let up and we checked on the
marsh, then the marina where we saw a pair of HARLEQUIN DUCKS, Deer Creek
Hatchery, Sunset Road where we saw SANDERLINGS and a HEERMANN'S GULL and our
last stop on the trip at Ocean Avenue where we saw a possible Herring x
Thayer's Gull.
