Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
recording was made Thursday February 3. If you have anything to add call

On January 30 a COMMON GRACKLE was in the McDonald's parking lot in Baker
City. A GREAT GRAY OWL was also seen in town that day.

A HOUSE WREN was in Port Orford February 2. Up to eight Violet-green
Swallows were at Euchre Creek, south of Gold Beach January 30. The two
EMPEROR GEESE are still on Kilches Meadows along Highway 101 north of
Tillamook. Up to five EURASIAN WIGEON are now with geese. Six TREE
SWALLOWS were over the Warrenton Sewage Ponds January 30.

A CATTLE EGRET has been in the Woodland Bottoms, north of Vancouver since
early January. A WHITE PELICAN was at Kelso January 27. It, or another,
was in the River S Unit of Ridgefield NWR January 31. Five BARN SWALLOWS
were on Bachelor Island on the Refuge January 25. A BRANT was on the east
side of Sauvie Island January 29. It, or another, was across the river
near Vancouver Lake the next day.

The HARRIS'S and CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS continue to be seen at the East
Side Checking Station on Sauvie Island. Two SWAMP SPARROWS were calling
from the canarygrass along nearby Rentenaar Road January 29. On February
2 a TREE SPARROW was observed near the Pudding River west of Canby.

A GYRFALCON, first seen January 29, continues to be seen along Greenberry
Road, about a mile and a half west of Highway 99W south of Corvallis. A
ROSS'S GOOSE and a SNOW GOOSE are now at Finley NWR. A GOLDEN EAGLE was
along Highway 99W north of Monroe February 1.

A GREAT GRAY OWL was reported last week southeast of Springfield. Ten
TREE SWALLOWS were west of Junction City January 31, and a TURKEY VULTURE
was west of Fern Ridge Reservoir February 2. The two WHITE PELICANS are
still at Fern Ridge Reservoir. The EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL has
remained in west Eugene. A TREE SPARROW was north of the Fisher Butte
parking lot along Highway 126 east of Eugene January 30.

On January 29 two BARN SWALLOWS and 30 GREATER YELLOWLEGS were at the
White City Sewage Ponds.

A RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was in Bend January 30.
