Hi Tweeties,

One can bird just about any bush!

While I've been subbing at Tyee High in SeaTac I've had my binoculars with
me. These past sunny, rain-less days found me in back of the school
checking out the bushes and brambles.
The old trees show massive signs of woodpecker activity.......

Here's what I've seen so far.

RUBY CROWNED KINGLETS
BEWICK'S WREN
WINTER WREN
BC CHICKADEES
NORTHERN FLICKERS
SONG SPARROW
JUNCOS
"Junk Sparrow" House Sparrow
Starlings
Robins
Crows
Gulls

While taking one of my wheelchair bound students for a fresh air walk we
came upon a RING BILL GULL very busy cleaning an abandoned lunch tray of
it's fish and chip remains. Either the bird was very tame, or so obsessed
with its lunch my student and I rolled right up to the edge of the picnic
table to watch. I could see the faint gray streaks on its head. We got so
close we could see the BLACK toenails on its yellow feet! "Charlie", who
cannot talk smiled broadly at the bird.
A passing group of loud students scared away the gull.
