Lisa,

Funny you should mention PACIFIC SLOPE FLYCATCHERS today. No, I haven't heard
any bird mimicking one but I saw a pretty good imitation of one at the small
pond next to my house in Lacey about 4:00 today. (I live out near Meridian
Campus.)

I was doing the dreaded (for me) pull the weeds in the flower beds when I saw
what appeared to be a flycatcher hawking insects over the small pond next to
my house...except when to returned to its perch it was well into the small
tree it used as a base of operation. I grabbed my bins & got a good look at a
TOWNSEND'S WARBLER acting like a flycatcher, which apparently, it is. You
learn something new all the time.
