Some Ruby-crowned Kinglet songs of central and northern BC have phrases
which match the typical Pacific-slope Flycatcher song. It is heard
during the transition from one set of louder chants to another. I have
been foxed more than once. Are your Ruby-crowneds singing yet? A bit
early, but then it seems to be leaning toward an early spring in some
areas.
