You can also take a NON-pressure treated 2x6 and
drill rows of 3/4 or 1 inch holes into it and pack
in the suet (though I usually buy really cheap peanut
butter, really cheap shortening and really cheap
birds seed and mix it together and stuff it in).

Then hang the board up just about anywhere.
