Hello Tweeters:

This morning about 9:00 am there was a BALD EAGLE in a tree across the Green
River from the James Street (South 240th) and Russell Road intersection.
The tree is in a cluster in which I've seen as many as 3 bald eagles at a
time.

Thursday about noon I saw a DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT standing on an exposed
snag near the north end of Lake Fenwick in Kent. On returning about 15
minutes later there was an otter on the snag in the same spot where the
cormorant had been earlier. The otter was obviously chewing on something
but I didn't see feathers or a sign of any other remains so doubt if it had
attacked the bird. This small lake is open to fishing all year long and is
stocked by the State Game Department twice a year, so suspect that both the
otter and the cormorant were after the trout that are in there. Also saw
two more cormorants while walking around the lake as well as a GREAT BLUE
HERON which was in the marshy cat tail area of the lake. Was also in the
path of flock of about 12 to 15 BUSHTITS as they went from bush to bush.
They do land very close and seem almost tame.
