Subject: Lesser Black-Backed Gull still around
Date: Feb 12 19:13:03 2000
From: James Nestler - NestJa at wwc.edu

About 20 people gathered in Walla Walla this morning
to search for the Lesser Black-backed Gull. The bird
has been seen every morning this week on Hussey
Street. So it can as no surprise that the bird did not
show up this morning; nobody saw it. Fortunately
everybody thoroughly enjoyed the rain, snow, wind,
and fog.

HOWEVER, the bird was found in the afternoon at
the Walla Walla River delta near Wallula. Many people got
great looks. Observers included (and I apologize for
leaving some people out) Mike&Merrylynn Denny,
Ken Knittle, Bob Morris, Denny Grandstrand,
Patrick and Ruth Sullivan.
