Columbia Estuary Report 02/13/2000

A CLARK'S GREBE was at Sunset Lake most of the week.

Todd Thornton reports 7 HORNED LARKS and a SNOW BUNTING from
the South Jetty of the Columbia River. He saw a PALM WARBLER
with YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS in the willows near there.

A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was with GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS at
the Neawanna Wetland on Saturday. ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS
continue to be ubiquitous.

In bird movement news, FOX SPARROW numbers appear to be decreasing.
All this mild weather has apparently either dispersed them or
convinced them to begin migrating north.

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
