Tweeter folks--The downtown Tacoma Peregrine Falcons have just gotten a
fancy new choice of accommodations--a roofed nestbox on the west
counterweight of the 11th Street Bridge.

Falcon fans hope this deluxe new nestbox will encourage G.P. (the Guy
Peregrine) and Mickee (the female) to breed this year at last. The new
custom-built nestbox joins a couple boxes from years past that haven't been
used yet--one on the Wells Fargo Building and one on the Key Bank Building.
Bud Anderson and the Falcon Research Group and I have teamed up with the
Washington State Department of Transportation to put the box up.

The Tacoma Peregrines web site is up and running again this season, and you
can keep up with the birds' doings there--
