Sunday, February 6, 2000, 9:49 AM. Hi, this is Sam Terry (206) 329-9038.
Yesterday, the fifth, in Tacoma, at the parking lot on Portland Avenue at
5th and Mill, while we had no luck with ICELAND or SLATY-BACKED GULLS, we
did have a first year GLAUCOUS GULL across the Puyallup River on the
containers. That's it. Good luck and good birding.

Sunday, February 6, 2000, 12:02 PM. This is Alan Grennich (206) 329-6005.
The EURASIAN form of the GREEN-WINGED TEAL was still present at the
Montlake Fill Saturday afternoon as well as the SNOW GOOSE.

Sunday, February 6, 2000, 2:59 PM. Hi, this is Arthur at (206) 546-330l
and, although this is neither rare or unusual, I would like to report that
at my hummingbird feeders today, in addition to my usual ANNA'S
HUMMINGBIRDS, I saw an early returning RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD. Hopefully, it
will mean that Spring is not far behind. Thanksl Good luck and good
birding.

Sunday, February 6, 2000, 5:57 PM. Hi, this is Sheila [?] Formashura [??].
My number is (206) 623-0753. Today we went on an Audubon Field Trip led by
Dave Swain to the Snohommish area and we had two birds to report. One is an
already confirmed sighting of a HARRIS' SPARROW that was reported two or
three days earlier. It was seen along the Snohomish-Lowell River Road, a
little bit down river from Snohomish, maybe a half a mile. Very close to
some of the pea [pea] silage. So it's a treat for you all [did not catch
the phrase]. So nice HARRIS' SPARROW was seen there. Which is a bird that
was reported two or three days ago and we are just confirming that. The
other great bird of the day was along the Snohomish-Monroe Road and a nice
GYRFALCON probably one and a half to two miles outside of town along the
Snohomish-Monroe Road. It was going back and forth form one of the dead
trees to the other being chased by EAGLES and RED-TAILED HAWKS. The credit
for finding this bird should go to Brendon McCarry and Sharon Davis. So
good luck and good birding.

Sunday, February 6, 2000, 8:51 PM. Sunday evening. Hi, this is Andy
Stepnieski in Yakima, WA. I'm going to play you a messae by Mike Denney
reporting a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL in the Walla Walla River Delta. "Hi
Andy. This is Mike Denney 529-0080. At 4:30 this afternoon, Mary Lynn and I
found a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL, third winter bird, on the Walla Walla
River Delta. We were chumming and I will be there tomorrow evening from
3:30 to sundown. I will be chumming. So, hope you can make it. Goodby.

Thursday, February 10, 2000, 6:34 AM. Hello, this is Dave Beaudette at
(206) 365-2083. This report is for the 9th of February and Snohomish
County. The adult gray morph GYRFALCON was seen again perched in a a tree
on the west side of the old Snohomish-Monroe Road approximately 8 tenths of
a mile from the Snohomish City Limits sign. And also at the Snohomish
Sewage Ponds was a GREAT EGRET. Good birding.

Friday, February 11, 2000, 11:10 AM. Hi, this is Ryan Shaw reporting for
Bruce LaBar, Rick Romea and myself. The LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was again
present at the Hussey Road onion field today from 10 o'clock until at least
10:30 and it was still present when we left. That's about it. Good birding.

Birdbox last checked at 1:45 PM, February 12, 2000.
