I think it's better to let nature take it's own course, rather than to scare
the bird away and then bury it so that nothing benefits; not the crow and
certainly not the thrush. I also don't think a crow would go after a healthy,
wary Varied Thrush for they are some of the most easily spooked birds in our
yard. Did you notice this thrush being at all disabled or less wary than
normal? Perhaps it was sick, old or injured? This is not a personal attack so
please don't take anything personally.
