Tweets,

This morning Bill Ward & I spent some time at Nisqually and, despite the fog
and cold, had a pretty good morning. We met at 8:00 and quit at noon. We
covered the trail to McAllister Creek, the boardwalk, and the Ring Dike. We
had 35 species, but the highlight had to be 3 TREE SWALLOWS, 1 at the Willows
Pond, on the trail to McAllister Creek, and 2 at the marsh between the
Visitor's Center and the Twin Barns. Also, there was a PEREGRINE FALCON and a
CROW sharing a branch in the snag across from the Nisqually River viewing
platform. They eyed each other warily until an immature BALD EAGLE decided to
roust both of them from their perch. It was a great way to start the weekend!

We were few and they were plenty. Now we are plenty and they are few.
