Monday, February 14, 2000, 7:27 PM. This is Vic Nelson at Point No Point at
the northeast tip of the Kitsap Peninsula. Yesterday, February 13, I had
what I believe was a third winter SLATY-BACKED GULL at the pier at the
resort at Point No Point in the morning. The bird was last seen flying
north towards Whidbey Island yesterday and was not seen again today, but I
thought I would report it anyway. There are also quite a few BONAPARTE'S
and MEW GULLS in the area. That's about it.

Wednesday, February 16, 2000; 9:59 PM. Hi, this Carl Haney, (425) 837-9293.
I was birding the Springbrook Trail in Renton late this afternoon. There
was one female WILSON'S WARBLER in a blackberry tangle at the south end, a
male COMMON TEAL in the wide bend of the river and a nearly pure
YELLOW-SHAFTED FLICKER nearby. That's it, good birding.
