Hummingbird Movement Report 02/14 to 02/21

The following sites reported hummingbirds this week. Millicoma Marsh
is approximately 12 miles east of the immediate coast and Skamokawa is
about 24 miles inland.

If you made one of these reports and would like to correct lat-long
descriptions, fine tuning would be appreciated.

Millicoma Marsh, OR 2000/02/15 46 43.3803N 124.0969W
Skamokawa, WA 2000/02/20 51 46.2706N 123.4558W

Multiple Selasphorus hummingbirds are now being seen at New River, OR
(42.9136N 124.4900W).

There was also an unconfirmed report "this week" from Warrenton, OR.

Indian Plum (Oemleria cerasiformis) under went substantial bud burst at
Astoria, OR (behind the High School) and green leaves were evident on
many branches by 02/18. Salmonberry (Rubis spectabilis) is just
beginning bud burst and only in well exposed areas away from canopied
forest. No flowers of either species could be found though efforts
were made at Seaside, Gearhart, Warrenton and Astoria (all in Clatsop
Co., OR) between 02/19 and 02/21.
