Probably a continuation of the crow movement you are reporting: I have seen
HUGE waves of crows passing over the Water Works Garden in Renton (Monster
Road and Oakesdale) at dusk. They came directly from the north, and also
slightly from Northwest, and then head ESE. They seem to use the white tower
there as a landmark. I have not seen where they roost. Although one afternoon
recently as I drove to IKEA there were many hundreds of them in a field to
the west of IKEA. When I left IKEA later, they were not in field and must
have moved on to their roost.

I know someone posted here that he was monitoring crow roosts in Seattle, and
was very knowledgeable, but I do not remember his name or how to contact him.
(Now, if I would just organize my files....)
