I plead guilty for being a lazy good for nothing wildlife worker with no
thought for any particlar type of wildlife A regular leech on the public
payrolls. Just rode a bulldozer, planned habitat, contructed water
control structures, manipulated water levels to insure good growths of
aquatic plants, conducted research on muskrats, tundra swan, sandhill
cranes, other waterfowl, determined uses by of wildlife of various ,
planted trees and shrubs, grain food crops, did research on passerine
birds, banded over 85,000 birds of almost 300 species, worked with
seabirds, pelicans, cormorants, herons, egrets and other waterbirds, was
a wildlife refuge manager and later administrator, gave lots of talks
about wildlife to various groups, arm rasseled developers, lobbyists,
lawyers, politicians, bureaucrats of other agencies trying to destroy
wildlife habitats , tagged over 800 endangered Hawaiian monk seals and
300 lb.green sea turtles and was bitten at times by some of them.,
recommended and saw established 9 national wildlife refuges in the
central and west Pacific islands, recommended and saw listing of 30
species of Hawaiian birds and the only 2 endemic mammals as endangered,
formulated wildlife habitat plans for a number of military bases, went
round and round with poachers, established Honolulu as a port to screen
and prohibit entry of harmful wildlfe, was cussed out by poachers and
people trying to sneak prohibited wildlife into the U.S., Fell down
cliffs, out of trees, swept off rocky islands by huge waves, winding up
in hospitals because of injuries just doing my job for which I'm paying
penalties , loaned to several foreign nations to provide advice on
endangered species programs, etc., etc. Just a regular tax eater.instead
of a taxpayer. Come to think of it, I was a low paid tax payer, too. How
ungrateful of me for having such cushy soft job and thinking of only one
form of wildlife..
