My Personal Bird Of The Year has to be the WHITE STORK that stalked the
fields near 272nd and the West Valley Road this past spring and late summer.
If the sight of any bird causes people to almost go off the road, it's a
"Bird Of The Year".

Let's hope the stork survives the winter and returns to Kent again this
spring.

My Native Bird of the Year has to be the PILEATED WOODPECKER I sighted in
Lake Fenwick Park. It was great seeing Ol' Woody in person!
