Scott Downes and I had a very nice morning at Marymoor this morning. There was
a gorgeous sunrise lighting the undersides of the high clouds. There was frost
all around, and no wind or fog. Beautiful. The birding was pretty good too:

Common Loon 1 on lake
Common Merganser 2 gorgeous males close-up at lake
Green Heron Adult on beaver lodge again
Cooper's Hawk Several sightings, probably 1 bird
Virginia Rail Heard perhaps 5
Cedar Waxwing One in a bush
Western Meadowlark 4 at north end of east meadow
Purple Finch Several sightings, about 8 total birds

Lots of sparrows, with many good views of Fox Sparrow, and at least 3 Lincoln's
Sparrow at the rowing club. Nothing unusual though.

Also, we had what looked like an adult Bald Eagle on the far shore of the lake,
but afterwards I checked it out and it was just a piece of head-shaped foil in
a tree...

Scott - You only missed Northern Flicker after you left.

All told, 46 species.
