We did drive as far as comfortably possible in the snow up the canyon to
check around plus down the canyon and then areas nearby that we could get to.
We checked our DeLorme and drove nearby areas as best as possible. We saw
many different raptors but no owl. We were able to meet a very nice couple
that lived on the road because we were also out walking up and down the
canyon and not sitting in our car. I'm sure there were others that
thoroughly checked out the area as well.
Everyone has their own way of doing things. If someone wishes to drive to a
spot, sit in their car and look for a bird that's their prerogative. Anyway,
how would I ever get to meet such nice people if they weren't out standing
(or sitting in their car) by the road?!
