The Brookline Bird Club routinely uses CB radio which greatly adds to
the pleasure of multicar bird trips. When I lived in Edmonton and
suggested there I got a lot of "that doesn't work" type comments, but it
does! In the Boston area there are a couple of channels birders know to
check, and if you're lucky enough to live really close to a hotspot you
can monitor the channel at home and know where to go.
