Hello Tweeters,
After getting a pivate message from Larry and Jacque Goodhew comming from
Walla Walla to see both birds:The verry elusive "LITTLE GULL "and also the
Slaty-backed Gull on Gog-Le-Hi-Tee.How lucky !!!! After there missed the
Northern Hawk Owl in Chelan.Last time i saw the Little Gull on Dezember12th
first sighting last year.So i went to Harry Todd Park and scoped the water.
There was lot's of Boneparte's Gull but it took time to find the Little
Gull. He was close on the other side where the Veteran Hospital is. Even
with my good LEICA Scope the bird was so smal, but when he turned you realy
see the black underwings.
The Little Gull also seems to fly faster. We usual seeing this bird more in
the middle of the Lake for some good viewing.
I did not find the Slaty-backrd Gull today despite with so many Gulls
around. A verry special Gull in flight on the street where the Meat Plant
is on .This Gull had an all black head .This Gulls was flying all around
and i could not relocate this Gull again. I was seeing this Gull sitting in
my car ,but the Gulls was flying pretty low.So if anyone going up there, to
be on the look out for this Gull with the Black Head.
