Responding to the question about the increasing numbers of Canada Geese,
whether or not they are detrimental to other species...

The real question concerns the expansion of the human population.
Some animals , such as, Starlings, House Sparrows, Rock Doves and Canada
Geese, are able to take advantage of the modified habitat around humans.
Canada Geese , for example, do very well on farmers' feilds, golf courses
and other manmade grasslands. Many other birds, are in decline due to the
loss of Old Growth Forest, Marshes and Pristine Shorelines.
