Had a chance to bird the Quilcine/Lake
Leland/crocker Lake area this morning. The best spot was Leland which had 40
Ring-necked Ducks and 12 Trumpeter Swans. In the swan group there were 4
adults the rest juveniles. Over the past few years birding this area, I
can't recall seeing that many young birds. Its usually 1or 2 per adult pair.
