It's fascinating to me how the crummy winter weather seems to bring out the
best in these guys. There are several around my office in downtown Olympia,
and I hear them singing almost every day. And just this afternoon there were
two in a lilac bush, about three feet/1 m from our living room window,
singing their little hearts out.

I also think it's funny how our local _morphna_ subspecies look like
Washington State fans, all decked out in crimson and gray!
