Birding this morning with Brent Ripley at the Lost Island Habitat
Management Unit on the north shore of the Snake River above Ice Harbor
Dam we identified 35 species. Highlights included:

1 - NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL
2 - SHARP-SHINNED HAWK one adult, one immature
1 - COOPER'S HAWK an adult
2 - VIRGINIA RAIL heard only
1 - COMMON YELLOWTHROAT a female (certainly has been a mild winter so
far, hasn't it?)
