The Eurasian Wigeon is much more common on the West Coast. In the East, it
might be a toss-up.

Officially, the (American) Green-Winged Teal is a subspecies of the Eurasian
Teal (called "The Teal" in Britain). Techinically, it's Anas crecca crecca
in Europe, Anas crecca carolinensis for the American bird. (I don't know
anything about the Aleutian race.) Like a number of the "lumpings" that
took place in the '80s, it would not be a surprise if the American and
Eurasian "races" were once again accorded species status.
