Tweeters - My experience with Audubons YR Warblers has been that in winter
they are found most frequently in small flocks (3-10 birds) and in deciduous
trees (Red Alder, often). Thus I was surprised to find them in freeway
plantings 4-6 feet high in more open habitat of planted Wax Myrtle and Roses.
The Townsend's I see in winter are also usually in small groups of 2-3, often
mixed with other birds, though individuals occasionally appear at my feeder.
I have seen them most often in conifers (Seward Park and the Arboretum).
