I think the Golden Eagle is just as agile as the Bald, having observed
many, many of both species through the years. I remember the time when I
was the refuge biologist at Malheur N.W. Refuge back in the early 60's.
I observed a Prairie Falcon harrassing a Golden.flying along. It made
two stoops at the Golden, but at the third stoop, the Golden suddenly
turned on its back, grabbed the Praire, opened its talons and the Praire
was of this world no more as it came down with a thud. But, everybody to
their own opinion. Both species are grand birds.
