I just thought I'd add my sightings:

On 1/12/99, after waiting unsuccessfully all morning for the Rustic Bunting, I
headed Northeast. Late in the day, as the light was failing me, I stopped at
Lake Pateros, Okanogan Co. -- kind of near Bridgeport -- and watched the eagles
(two adults) hunt waterfowl on the lake. One caught either a coot or a
Pied-billed Grebe and brougt it back to a platform and ate it. It wouldn't
share with the other adult eagle there.

As for Wood Ducks, here are my sightings:

15-Apr-95 Juanita Bay Wetlands Park
13-Jul-96 Mercer Slough
11-Mar-98 MF Montlake Fill
11-Sep-98 F Juanita Bay Wetlands Park
26-Sep-98 1 Foster Island
26-Sep-98 2 Montlake Fill
25-Aug-99 Foster Island
14-Sep-99 1 Montlake Fill

In addition, I have seen Wood Duck 40 times in the last 6 years at Marymoor
Park. 18 of those times were in 1999, with birds seen continuously from April
through November. Obviously they must have nested nearby which skews the data.
I really can't say if they are increasing. In any case, I never see many at
one time, with the most being 9 on 9/4/97 and 10 on 9/16/99 -- usually it's
ones and twos.
