January 24, 2000, Monday, 5:10 p.m. My name is Brad Wilson (253) 845-3216.
This morning about 7:15 I had spotted the ICELAND GULL again at the end of
Portland Avenue just beyond 11th Ave. in the right hand parking lot, about 3
feet off the shore. The bird seemed to be in very good health. Even though
it did have an injured wing, it was swimming around and eating bugs off the
shoreline and it seemed like it was in very good shape. That's it. Thank
you and good birding.

January 25, 2000, Tuesday, 11:11 a.m. Hi, this is Jim Flynn at (253)
941-3358 with a belated report for Saturday the 22nd. Steve Pink, Connie
Manrecus and I went birding Port Townsend to Port Angeles, and the best
birds were at Port Townsend at Point Wilson. There was one YELLOW-BILLED
LOON off the point there, and a least half a dozen ANCIENT MURRELETS also.
A lot of MURRELETS flying by at a distance that we couldn't ID, but were
probably ANCIENTS as well. And at Ediz hook we had one GLAUCOUS GULL.
Thanks. Bye-bye.

January 25, 2000, Tuesday, 11:36 a.m. Hi, this Greg Toffic (206) 684-4836,
and yesterday I birded in Snohomish and Monroe, and at the Two Rivers Unit
in Monroe I had two WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS, a very clean looking
SLATE-COLORED JUNCO and an obvious intergrade SLATE-COLORED JUNCO that had
kind of a muddy back and had the bib pattern of an OREGON JUNCO. But the
good bird of the day was first thing in the morning, an immature PRAIRIE
FALCON, very likely the same bird that Dennis Duffy had seen a week ago.
However, this bird was at the intersection of Highway 9 and the Airport Road
just south of Snohomish.
