Perhaps at first, Martha, but Trumpeter Swans at certain overwintering
spots here in c. BC certainly do become "tamer" over the years, readily
approaching people on a bridge offering handouts. They are still mildy
skittish, though, and would not be caught munching Twinkies at your
heels like park Mallards.
