I think Alan in Poulsbo is on the right track trying to
get a city ordinance passed - **by law** cats should
not be allowed to run loose any more than dogs,
chickens, pigs, or any other "pets". It took a scoop
law to clean up the sidewalks and parking strips of
Seattle, so why is it the responsibility of everybody
in the neighborhood to provide food (and
entertainment - since cats "play" with their live
food until it either dies of fright or the cats get bored)
in the shape of birds of all ages, and litterboxes,
for cats except the cat owners themselves ?
