Subject: IMMATURE COOPER'S HAWK?

HELLO TWEETIES!

On this beautiful Saturday afternoon I headed out on the Green River Trail
for a "power walk", but somehow my binoculars hitched a ride. While walking
north of the Neeley Homestead, I spied an immature COOPER'S HAWK sitting on
the blackberry bushes between the trail and the condos!

Is this an exceptionally bold and brave hawk to perch just outside someone's
patio door? It posed and posed, and posed for me before it dove into the
bushes, presumably after an early dinner.

What impressed me most about this bird were its bright yellow bare naked
legs! It was crow sized, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Sharp Shin Hawk.
