I haven't visited the Skagit lately but, to me, it's inconceivable to think
that Bald Eagles have left the Skagit in droves already. They may have
reached peak numbers in December or earlier in January but there are usually
good numbers along the river throughout the month of February. If something
unusual is happening this year, I hope someone can post a message about it.

I spent s few minutes watching two adults at the Thurston County landfill
yesterday after I finished dumping a big wad of used barbed wire.
