I would like to add my voice to Tom's and Mikes in favor of open discussion
on Tweeters. It makes the list so much more interesting. It's possible
for Tweeters to be a place where we BOTH record bird sightings and discuss
ornithology AND discuss environmental issues (including cats) that affect
the birds that we all love. If we would simply follow a few simple rules it
seems to me that everything would function smoothly:

1) Be civil.
2) Remember that the mere fact of being disagreed with does not mean that
you have been subjected to a personal attack.
3) Use the delete key for those messages that you find dull or offensive.
