Hal Opperman wondered whether wood ducks were increasing at Montlake Fill in
recent years.
I have been censusing approximately every 10 days for nine years. Up through
1997 I typically saw wood ducks every other year. In 1998 and 1999 I started
seeing them half a dozen times per year, with a high single count of 13 in
April of last year.
