Columbia Estuary Report 7/2/2000

The LONG-BILLED CURLEW is still being seen at the
Necannicum Estuary. A GREATER YELLOWLEGS was at the
Neawanna Wetlands on Thursday. The male RING-NECKED
DUCK is also still hanging around in pond 1 at the
Neawanna Wetland.

A hatching year BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK was captured at
the Neawanna Banding Station on Saturday.

Three MOURNING DOVES were reported from the Lewis
and Clark River by Steve Warner. They have been in that
area since early May and he suspects they may be breeding.
This would be a county record if confirmed.
