Tweets,

Monday evening around 6pm I saw a male Northern Bobwhite standing in the
gravel on the side of the road near the start of the Middle Fork Road. What
a rotund cutie! The bird decided to run across the road towards my car as a
State Patrol jeep was approaching. The vehicle swerved just in time to miss
the bird. The Bobwhite spent a few minutes under my car, then ran off along
the side of the road and into the bordering woods.

The woods in this area have been recently thinned so it may be good habitat
for the Bobwhite. To find this bird, take the Truck Town exit off I90
(Edgewick), and go left under the freeway. Bear left in about 3/4 of a mile
where the Middle Fork road starts. You'll see a wide gravel area on the
left side of the road, which is where I last saw him.
