If we're putting down bets, I've always lacked the ambition
to try northern Douglas Co. for Yellow Rail. Conditions are
variable from year to year, and from spot to spot, but there
are numerous wet meadows throughout the summer.

I'm just a tad too timid to explain to ranchers why I'm
investigating their meadows at 1 AM.
