Subject: Coastal Western Flycatcher making the wrong call

While doing the Coxcomb Hill Butterfly survey yesterday
I heard and saw a very pale WESTERN-type FLYCATCHERS making
a repeated, clear "pit-peet" two syllable call. There were
plenty of "peeweet" PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS along the
transect as well.
If I really believed in Cordilleran Flycatchers, I'd be
inclined to add this to my Clatsop Co. list...

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
