Spent an interesting week at Depoe Bay with occassional trips to
coastal and riparian areas between Lincoln City and Newport. Very
few sea birds and waterfowl but interesting nevertheless with whales,
small mammals, a scattering of birds and bright blue skies.

Many of the Common Murres, Brandt's Cormorants and Herring Gulls at
Yaquina lighthouse were busy tending young. Saw a Common Merganser
with 4 half-grown young near the Siletz river.
