Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday July 13. If you have anything to add call Harry

A male NORTHERN PARULA was at the D River in Lincolon City July 12. Two
male GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES are now at Orchard Park near the dam at Fern
Ridge Reservoir. Three GREAT EGRETS were at Fern Ridge July 10.

The shorebird movement continues with SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS still being
reported. A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was at the mouth of Sixes River near Cape
Blanco July 6. A LESSER YELLOWLEGS was on the North Spit of Coos Bay July
9.

A POMARINE JAEGER was at the North Spit of Coos Bay July 10. One flew
past Boiler Bay July 9, and a different bird was there July 11. An early
MEW GULL was at Boiler Bay July 8. On July 9, 150 BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSS
were with SOOTY and PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATERS, and FULMARS about 20 miles
off Siletz Bay.

Several CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS were with the swarm of RUFOUS HUMMERS on
Saddle Mountain, east of Seaside July 12.

A CATBIRD carrying food was seen July 12 at the Colorado Street Bridge in
Bend. A pair of SCRUB-JAYS brought off two young near Prineville during
the week. The REDSTART is still being seen along Indian Ford Creek north
of Sisters. A singing LEAST FLYCATCHER was at Petric Park at the north
end of Agency Lake July 7. A pure looking WESTERN GULL was at The Dalles
Dam July 5.
