A first-summer (year-old) Yellow-billed Loon was discovered yesterday
(7/14) at Ocean Shores. It was seen this mid-morning by a number of people
including a Wings bird tour. The bird today is on the Grays Harbor Inlet
side of the base of Damon Pt.

Park along Marine View Drive just west of the Damon Point entrance and
walk south (west of the closed Snowy Plover nesting area) to the beach
facing the sewage treatment plant and the inlet. About thirty Red-throated
Loons in various plumages also are in the same area. Common and Pacific
Loons in various plumages are in the vicinity but not with this particular
bird this morning. Good luck.
