Hey tweets, Last evening was fabulous at the Fill. I know I always say
that, and it's true too. But even for the Fill, it was great. We saw a
sora, a green heron, a spotted sandpiper (in full winter plummage), many
leasts and westerns, and dueling marsh wrens who didn't even know we were
there so they showed off their little bodies without hiding. FYI, the sora
is at the small pond at the far south of the Fill, near the dead beaver
trees. I call the pond Cinnamon Teal Pond because cinnamon teals used to
favor it. They don't anymore, however, so maybe I need a new name.
Honestly, we should all get together and name all the sites at the Fill and
then ask Fred to put them up on the map at the entrance. As far as I know,
the only sites with names are Shoveler Pond and the main pond. I ask you.
